From My PC !

While i was listening to the 3/17/05 recordings of the "Haunted Doll", I decided to give my ears a rest, and copy a cd that was given to me. (On my Witchcraft site, i have a page called "Wicca Radio Network", where i stream Pagan/Wiccan music. Artists frequently send me demo cds to put on my site).
I started my recording program, put the cd into the drive, and started playing it. To my amazement, i heard a "speeded-up" voice a few seconds into the track! Luckily, the recording software picked it up! The clip starts with 4 repetitions of the clip, then 4 at half-speed. On these four, the voice seems to be saying "Go back!............NORMAN........Go!", but i wouldn't swear to it. After these follows 4 samples at quarter speed, which are kind of "murky". The middle four is what you should be listening to. If anyone thinks that the voice is saying something DIFFERENT, pls let me know!
Btw......l physically examined the cd -- it was in "like new" condition - no scratches or scuffs. Then I tried (over 30 times!) to re-create this effect.....all i got was piano music (and no "strange sounds"!). Mebbe the voice was telling me to "go back" to the doll recordings!

Since that time, i've been noticing that, every so often when i'm listening to music from cds, i hear "fast blips" coming from my speakers. It doesn't happen all the time, but several times i was able to record 'em. When they come, there are a LOT of them, but not all are understandable....
On the day after Christmas (2005), i was listening to some Christmas music cds, when i started hearing the "blips"! I quickly turned on my sound recorder software ("Goldwave"). Within the space of 10 mins, i heard about a dozen of 'em. I used the software to slow 'em down to about 1/3rd of their normal speed, & was able to understand 3 voices!
This is remarkable in that i've never heard anyone getting EVP out of their PC before! I KNOW the sounds are NOT on the cd itself -- If i play back the cd where i heard 'em, they're never there (and i've tried this many, many times). Evidently, "they" must be using the music for a "carrier wave". This is GREAT, 'cos it sure beats tramping around in cemeteries and old houses to record them!
To listen to 'em, just click on the speaker icons below. First, you'll hear the recording at normal speed, repeated 3 times .......listen for the "blips" -- they're QUITE loud! The next 6 repetitions are the same segment at about 1/3rd the speed. You should have NO problem underestanding what "they're" saying! One person emailed me to say that the last voice sounds like it's saying "Yes, MOM!". Could be!
