In January 2005, i bought a "Very Haunted Mortuary Doll" on ebay. Here's the description:
"Haunted Doll From Mortuary"
It all started about 8 months ago. I have a very goodfriend that is a mortition...He said that one day he was walking down the hall in the mortuary.... and he noticed this weird looking doll by the wall...So he took it and showed it to a couple of the other people who work there; nobody knew where it came from and what it was...and no-one wanted it so he just decided to take it home.....
Now that mortuary is huge, and from what he told me, there is alot of activity there especially at night!!!!!!!! He says they always hear a band playing at night and bangings on the wall; even whispering.....Now anyone in their right mind is gonna know a mortuary is haunted ... but it never bothers those who work there -- they are used to it!!!!!
And that was the case with my friend......Now he lives alone, and the first night he took it home, he woke up hearing people talking (coming from the living room) also a man crying...so he thought, "What the heck is going on?" (His old roomate had already moved out but he still had the key so he thought, "could it be my old roomate"?
He grabbed his cell phone and called his old roomate to see if he answered, and he did! He found out that his ex-roommate was at his new place. He called out "IS ANYONE THERE?" No no one answered and it got quiet........He yelled out "I AM GOING TO CALL THE POLICE!", and grabbed his baseball bat and ran out out to the living room.......
Even tho he left the doll in his jacket pocket, it was now on top of his table in the living room! How it got there, no one knows......
He left it there, but from then on his microwave has gone on by itself, his bathroom light flickers on and off, & every night he hears voices. But, he said he is not afraid of it -- he does not feel it harming him in any way, but said it sometimes keeps him up when he hears things, so he does not want it any more...... Since I collect dolls, I told him I will post it on ebay......He said he has the doll put away in a box for now and it's ready to go...So if you are interested please bid.......
Someone outbid me, and the doll was sent to them. BUT, they "couldn't take it after several days" and mailed the doll back to the seller without asking for a refund! The seller then sold it to ME, charging me only postage costs (because he had already made his money).
I'm not sure what it's made of -- it seems to be some sort of plaster or clay......it's handmade, and looks REAL! It has (what appears to be) glass eyes, and "hair".....i'm not sure if it's real hair, or not. ("Creepy" is the best word to describe it!). Because it has string wound all around it, it COULD BE a "magickal doll"; possibly a binding spell against someone. It might have been left at the mortuary to "give it more power from the dead", a common practice.
My Wife HATES the thing and won't even LOOK at it. I've nicknamed it " Lil' Mort " (short for "mortuary"! I'm "sick"; what can i say?) and placed it on my Witchcraft bookcase.
The first nite, at 1:30 am, i put it in my computer room table, with my Sony portable DAT right next to it, and closed the door. The tape ran for an hour before coming to the end and shutting off. I didn't get any voices, but on the "Sounds" clip (below), you can hear all sorts of "bangings" and "unknown sounds" during that time.
My computer was OFF, and there were no electronic devices on in that room. Plus, the door was closed, so none of our cats could get in.
I have NO IDEA what caused the noises..........unless it was the DOLL......................
